          Thursday – PUC Bell Choir practice at 6:30 p.m.

  NEXT SUNDAY:  Regular Service Times:  PUC 9:15 a.m.; EUC 11 a.m.

 As of August 14th, VIBE will be studying the most recent book of The Rev. Dr. Barbara Brown Taylor, “Holy Envy:  Finding God in the Faith of Others”.  VIBE meets Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. in Elgin and 7 p.m. in Portland.  Those interested to join contact Rev. Portland United Annual Cemetery Service, Sunday, August 4, at 3 p.m.

Please bring your own lawn chair.  Following the service at the cemetery, refreshments will be provided at Portland United Church.  In the case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the church.  Please pass the word to any others who have any connections to the cemetery or who may be interested in attending.

 Matthew Byrne is coming to Elgin United Church Sunday, September 29th at 3 pm as part of the Festival of Small Halls series.
