Portland United Church

In keeping with the Government of Ontario Guidelines for the lockdown that started at 12:01 AM Boxing Day and continues for 28 days, there will be no Church Services during the month of January.  The PUC Council will re-evaluate at the end of January to determine if the church will be opened for in person sermons and/or video church services.  In the past you have been given several alternative services to view in the comfort of your home through the EPPC News.  Please go into the links that were provided to you in the past.  Here are some of them for your enjoyment.

Happy New Year 2021

Months after complaining about the dreadful year that brought the most unexpected and bizarre things like the coronavirus pandemic into our lives, this year has finally come to a close.

As we enter a new year, the welcome of 2021 will not be the same as in the past with grand celebrations, but rather, a quiet one with several restrictions being imposed around the world.  Nevertheless, let us not lose hope yet, 2021 just might turn things around.

Many of us are away from friends and family but doesn’t distance make the heart grow fonder?

In this New Year, I wish you to have a superb January, a dazzling February, a Peaceful March,

an anxiety-free April, a sensational May, and joy that keeps going from June to November,

and then round off with an upbeat December.

This year may we continue to share the genuine friendship that adds happiness and warmth to each of us.

Best friendships are the ones that don’t fade away no matter what.

They grow old and make life worth living when things go wrong.

Have a blessed and safe new year!
