At Elgin-Portland Pastoral Charge we see everyone as unique, loved creations of God and welcome all people to the full life of Christian community, including marriage.
The scriptures teach us that marriage is a gift of God, a holy mystery in which two individuals become one, a sign of God’s Kingdom of Love.
It is a covenant, a promise made wholeheartedly to the other, whatever the future may bring. This covenant is the highest expression of loving commitment, not to be undertaken carelessly, but reverently and with joy.
